design hive ltd strive to provide a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability

We constantly work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Guidelines and standards

This website endeavours to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and the U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

The code used to create this website fully validates as HTML5. This website also uses cascading style sheets (CSS) for visual layout. If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable – all content is structured semantically so can be read in a logical order by such browsers/devices.

Links

Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article). External website links on the site will open a new browser window (or new tab in certain browsers), new windows are never opened without a warning in the title attribute of the link.
